Recognition Day 2025

Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School celebrated its Recognition Day, with great splendour and enthusiasm on 22 November 2025. The entire programme was thoughtfully planned and smoothly conducted under the inspiring leadership of Teacher Joyla Pearl-Goes. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Mrs. Donna DeSouza, along with the MLA of Velim and the Sarpanch of Chinchinim village.
The celebrations began on a lively note as the guests were warmly welcomed at the entrance, badges were pinned, and they were escorted to the venue to a vibrant march played by talented student musicians. The formal function opened with a graceful prayer dance, creating a serene atmosphere. The gathering was then welcomed and blessed by the Manager, Fr. Alex John D’Souza, whose blessings added spiritual depth to the event. This was followed by the felicitation of the Manager, Principal, and the entire teaching and non-teaching staff, appreciating their dedication and hard work. The school magazine was then released, followed by the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Marian. The Annual Report was read by the Principal, Mrs. Melba Vas, and the formal programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
The celebration continued with vibrant cultural performances by the students, which included energetic dances, melodious group songs, creative skits, and a colourful fashion show. In between the programmes, solo and duet singing accompanied by student musicians added rhythm and charm to the evening. Food stalls, game counters, creativity stalls, and the lively performance by the Black Eagles Band kept the campus buzzing with excitement. The open ground turned into a joyful space for dance and celebration, making the evening a memorable expression of Marian spirit, unity, and joy.
