Mount Mary’s HSS organized a transformative 3-days workshop for teenagers on the theme “Stand out: Your Personality, Brand and Impact” held from 24th March 2025 to 26th March 2025.
The workshop brought together 300 teenagers from all streams, providing a platform to focused on building self-esteem, self-discovery, managing emotional , grooming and cyber safety. Led by keynote speakers – our respected Principal Madam Melba Vas, Tr. Nelia Pereira, Tr. Sadika Farhath M. Ali, and Tr. Roweena M. Dias.
The grand farewell function of Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Chinchinim was held on 17th January 2025. The Ceremony began with a Eucharistic celebration where the students walked in with lighted candles and placed them at the altar. The Eucharistic celebration was offered by the Manager Fr. Alex J. D’souza. The Celebrant in his homily asked the students to be pilgrims of hope and work diligently and light up the world with their brilliance.

will feel Christmas all the time”
Preparation for Christmas began with the Advent
assemblies with the lighting of the four candles of HOPE, PEACE, JOY and LOVE.
Each of the four streams got a chance to conduct the assembly.
To spread Christmas cheer, our school organised
competitions and activities spread out over two days, 20th and 21st
of December, 2024.
The Highly Anticipated Sports Meet
of Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Chinchinim, was held on November 24,
2024 at Our Lady of Hope Church Ground, Chinchinim, with over 700 students
participating in a series of exciting events. The occasion was graced by the
presence of Chief Guest, Honourable MLA of Velim Constituency-Engr. Cruz Silva
and Guest of Honour, Director of John Paul II and Karuna Football Foundations-
Dr. Kennedy Joseph D’ Silva, both of whom were warmly welcomed by the Manager
Rev. Fr. Alex John D’Souza and Principal Madam Melba Vas.
The event began with the welcome
address by the Manager and the ceremonial unfurling of the School flag,
followed by a melodious rendition of the School Anthem, which set an inspiring
tone for the day. The dignitaries conducted a meticulous inspection of the
parade, and appreciated the students for their discipline and spirit during the
march past.
In an electrifying moment, the torch
was lit, symbolizing unity and passion, and was carried by the most exceptional
young athletes of the Higher Secondary in a spirited torch relay. This was
followed by the Sportsman’s Oath, a reminder of the values of integrity and
fair play. Adding to the day’s celebrations, the School Magazine “Expressions”
Vol.03, was officially released, showcasing the creativity and intellectual
accomplishments of the students.
The audience was captivated by a
series of vibrant performances, including synchronized drills, rhythmic dance
performance and intricate pyramid formations, highlighting the students’
coordination and physical prowess. Exciting track events and a thrilling Tug of
War competitions kept the energy alive, as participants gave their best to win
laurels.
To mark the festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi Rangoli competition and Ganesh sweet presentation competition were organised on 3rd September 2024.
Rangoli Competition was held in the school hall with total 14 teams consisting of 3 members each. The participants were judged by Ms. Jevel Fernandes and Ms. Suvira Mascarenhas on the basis of details and clarity of Rangoli art, colour combination, creativity and overall appearance and appeal. The winners of the competition were 1 st place: XI ARTS A 2 nd place: XI ARTS B 3 rd place: XII COM B
