A Good Shepherd, a Pastor after God’s heart is the greatest treasure which the good Lord can grant to us. And hence on August 5, 2023, the Principal Melba Vas, the teaching and non-teaching staff of Mount Mary’s HSS celebrated Pastors Day to show their love and appreciation for their Manager, Rev Fr. Alex John D’Souza and the other priests of the parish, Fr. Victor Viegas, Fr. Christopher D’Souza and Fr. Joseph Gama.
The pastors were welcomed with a shower of flower petals. The Principal and the staff lifted up their heartfelt thanks for the precious gift of their pastors and prayed for their well being in a solemn prayer service.
Father Alex acknowledged the love and concern of the Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School family and stressed that listening to the people and being with them was an important part of his ministry.
Principal Melba Vas expressed her gratitude for the Pastors’ impact on spiritual and emotional growth and wished them abundant health and happiness.
Some light moments followed with music, songs and giving of tokens of love to our pastors. Tr. Nelia was the compere for the occasion.
