The grand farewell function of Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Chinchinim was held on 17th January 2025. The Ceremony began with a Eucharistic celebration where the students walked in with lighted candles and placed them at the altar. The Eucharistic celebration was offered by the Manager Fr. Alex J. D’souza. The Celebrant in his homily asked the students to be pilgrims of hope and work diligently and light up the world with their brilliance.
The programme commenced with the host Miss Valanka welcoming the students. The students of Std XI std captivated the audience with their impressive performances. Students from all streams individually voiced their thoughts and experiences about their tenure in the H.S. School. The students with 100% attendance were recognized and awarded with certificates. Spot prizes were also given. Master Charles Pires, the General Secretary of the H.S. School gave the vote of thanks.
The function concluded with the Principal’s address to the students. While addressing them, the Principal Mrs. Melba Vas told them they were the Heart and Soul of Mount Mary’s. She encouraged them to soar with self- confidence and with determination to fly to great heights. The Principal symbolically set alight the entire hall with lighted candles, with the entire staff and students illuminating and brightening the hall to create a warm atmosphere. The Principal requested the students to step onto the stage symbolizing their journey towards success by taking a step at a time and striving for excellence by hard work.
