The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 26th January, 2025 in our Higher Secondary School. The day began with the hoisting of the tricolour at 8:00 a.m. by our Principal Melba Vas and the singing of the national anthem.
During the prayer service held, we prayed for a just and harmonious society for the good of the nation and its citizens. Sir Ganesh Gaonkar delivered an insightful speech on the making of our constitution, the values enshrined in it and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. The atmosphere got charged with pride and energy when a group of students sang a melodious patriotic song. Our principal in her short and effective address instructed the students to frame a personal constitution containing the values and principles on the basis of which they could build their character. The events of this wonderful day came to a close at 9:00 a.m. with the vote of thanks by Sir Hanslem Furtado.
