Report on Three Days Teenagers Workshop

Mount Mary’s HSS organized a transformative 3-days workshop for teenagers on the theme “Stand out: Your Personality, Brand and Impact” held from 24th March 2025 to 26th March 2025.

The workshop brought together 300 teenagers from all streams, providing a platform to focused on building self-esteem, self-discovery, managing emotional , grooming and cyber safety. Led by keynote speakers – our respected Principal Madam Melba Vas, Tr. Nelia Pereira, Tr. Sadika Farhath M. Ali, and Tr. Roweena M. Dias.

Inauguration of the ‘Marian Cafeteria’

The newly built ‘Marian Cafeteria’ structure was inaugurated on 17th January 2025 at 10.45 am at the school complex. It began with the unveiling of the foundation stone by our Manager Fr. Alex D’souza and Our Principal Mrs. Melba Vas. To invoke God’s blessings a prayer service was held led by Tr Desiree and Tr Luella and their team.

The cafeteria was declared open with the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony by Fr Alex D’souza and Madam Ms. Melba Vas along with the dignitaries Fr. Christopher, Fr. Joseph, Fr. Victor, Fabrica members, Sarpanch Mr. Frank Viegas, Deputy Sarpanch Mrs. Sharmila Gracias and Headmistress Trudy Luis.

Republic Day 2025

The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 26th January, 2025 in our Higher Secondary School. The day began with the hoisting of the tricolour at 8:00 a.m. by our Principal Melba Vas and the singing of the national anthem.

Science Exhibition

St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa held an All-Goa Higher Secondary School Science Exhibition cum competition on 30th and 31st August 2024.  The event was organized to foster innovation and creativity among students. 20 Higher Secondary schools from all over Goa participated in the competition.

Value Added Workshop for Teachers

A Value Added Workshop initiated to ‘Inspire, Ignite, Integrate’ Teachers, was organized by the PTA and Management of Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School Chinchinim on 13th August 2024.

The program began with the lighting of the lamp. The Principal Madam Melba Vas welcomed the gathering and urged the teachers to explore value added strategies in their teaching learning outcomes.
