Virtual PTA meeting Feb 2022
Mount Mary’s higher secondary school had organized a virtual meet with the parents of std XI and XII Arts , Commerce ,science and Vocational (C.R.M.) on 17th February 2022.
The meet was held in two sessions. first session was for parents of Std. XIth and second session was for parents of Std XIIth.
Tr. Sanya Furtado welcomed the parents .the meeting began with a prayer service, followed by welcome address by Tr. Jennifer Naik.

A gratitude day, expressing the valuable contribution of principal Sir Trevor Vaz Barreto was celebrated on 17th Feb 2022.
Sir Trevor was appointed as the principal of Mount Mary’s HSS from 2013 to 2022 and has worked tirelessly towards the HSS. He has been instrumental not only in the academic achievements but also in the infra structure. His insights, visions and devotion to the growth of the school shows an example of how a true leader can raise the standards of the school. He has worked for the betterment of the school with his full dedication and to celebrate his contribution to the school the manager Rev Fr. Alex D’Souza, Principal and the staff celebrated the gratitude day in his honour. Rev Fr. Alex D’Souza thanked the principal for his contribution towards the school. Principal Melba also thanked Sir Trevor for his hard work and dedication to bring up the institution. Sir Jack spoke on behalf of all the staff members. Sir Trevor fondly shared his memories in the school during his address. A token of appreciation and a gift was given to sir Trevor.
73rd Republic Day Celebrations

The 73 rd Republic Day was celebrated in our MMHSS, Chinchinim on 26 th
January, 2022, following all the norms on social distancing to avoid the spread of Covid -19
Tr. Luella, who was the compere for the function gave an introduction and welcomed the gathering. Which was followed by Unfurling of the flag by our Principal Mrs. Melba Vas and singing of the National Anthem.
A prayer service was conducted by Tr. Manusha and her team invoking God’s blessing. Tr. Desiree shared her thoughts of patriotism on this special occasion.
A vote of thanks was proposed by the compere Tr. Luella.
National Girl Child day

On the occasion of the national girl child day celebrated on 24th January 2022, We organised a poster making activity in accordance with the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
The theme of the activity was ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’, to highlight the importance of securing and educating the girl child in our society. Our Students enthusiastically participated in the activity.
