“Indian folk dance is a rhythmic echo of the country’s cultural heartbeat.
Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School Chinchinim organized it’s Annual Inter Higher Secondary Folk dance competition on 29th August 2024 which saw an enthusiastic participation of 15 teams.
The event commenced with the comperes Tr. Desiree Pires and Sir. Ozie Da Costa extending a warm welcome to the audience and participants. The esteemed judges Ms. Shammie Rasaikar, Mr. Chinmay Borkar and Ms Astha Devidas were escorted with the beats of the traditional musical instruments, adding a touch of cultural grandeur to the proceedings. lighting of the lamp by the judges and Principal set the auspicious tone to the event.

Value Added Workshop for Teachers
A Value Added Workshop initiated to ‘Inspire, Ignite, Integrate’ Teachers, was organized by the PTA and Management of Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School Chinchinim on 13th August 2024.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp. The Principal Madam Melba Vas welcomed the gathering and urged the teachers to explore value added strategies in their teaching learning outcomes.

The power of music was witnessed at Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School Chinchinim on 13th July 2024 in the ‘Voice of Mount Mary’s Solo Singing Competition’. The competition began with audition rounds where 54 students battled it out with their unique voices in the Hindi, Konkani and English categories in which only the best five from each category were shortlisted for the finals. The judges for the competition were renowned singers of Goa, Mr. Elvis Mascarenhas, Ms. Assenca Fernandes and Mr. Benzer Fernandes. As the competition proceeded, the school witnessed a wide range of soul-stirring, impactful, fun, and delightful voices. Between the melodious and entertaining performances, the judges kept the audience grooving through their mesmerizing voices. Principal Madam Melba congratulated the singers for their performances and courage to take the stage.

The programme began with a welcome address by the Discipline Secretary Mast. Aaron Gomes. Thereafter the prize distribution of Eco- Bag making competition was held.
