Two very important days happened to be in the long Diwali break. 10th November was the birth anniversary of our Principal, Melba Vas and 14th November was Children’s Day. And so, the Mount Mary’s family celebrated both these important days on November 22, 2023 with a lot of family spirit.
The children and the staff lined up in the morning outside the Higher Secondary building to welcome our beloved Principal with balloons and placards.
A special prayer service then ensued that was dedicated to the students and the principal, in which we prayed for God’s blessings on them. This was followed by the cutting of the cake by the principal and the student council.
The school community then participated in the greatest prayer, that is the sacrifice of mass. Our Manager, Fr. Alex D’Souza celebrated the mass. In his homily, he urged the students and the staff to discover their uniqueness and use their talents to build up themselves and the lives of those they come in contact with.
The students then were treated to some delicious snacks.
November 22, 2023 was indeed an eventful day as the upgraded computer lab that will help us to ‘unlock tomorrow’s innovation today’, was inaugurated by our Manager Rev. Fr. Alex D’Souza and Principal Melba Vas and blessed by Rev. Fr. Alex in the presence of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
The celebration continued with music and song. It was a day that will be cherished by all.
